The Revista da CGU presents its 22nd issue with the dossier "Accountability and Control in the Context of Pandemic," available at Current. This issue and its availability through the new portal of the Revista da CGU are included in the project to strengthen the journal's management and editorial process started in 2020, which foresees the improvement of its editorial plan for the internationalization and promotion of scientific research based on greater dialogue between the scientific and professional fields.

This new issue has 12 papers. The first three come from the continuous flow, approaching actions and results of social control at the municipal level, the weighting criteria between access to information and personal data protection, and data science application for auditing. The following two make up the dossier "Government Control, Prevention, and Combat of Corruption" and analyze the institutional changes in the internal control system of the federal Executive Branch, as well as the efficiency of the contracting model for indirect execution of services based on the performance and remuneration measured by results.

The last seven papers comprise the dossier "Accountability and Control in the Context of Pandemic," under the scientific coordination of professors Frederico Lustosa da Costa (UFF) and Eduardo José Grin (EAESP / FGV). Practitioners and scholars who have on accountability and control the focuses of their professional activities and studies know that there is a permanent tension between the timing of deliveries, the efficiency of public action, and the effectiveness of controls, which worsens in times of crisis. A similar challenge is posed to investigating and producing evidence and knowledge about emerging facts, without the possibility of the retreat of time that allowing to offer consistent historical series, diversified readings, solid inferences, and in-depth analyses. With this dossier, Revista da CGU offers an opportunity for reflection and dialogue between the scientific and professional fields on topics related to accountability and control in the context of the pandemic.
