2021-05-27

The 23rd edition of the Journal, published on Friday (28/5), brings together 11 unpublished papers on topics related to the prevention and fight against corruption. The first six works comprise the Special Dossier “Interfaces between State Sanctions”. In addition to the traditional articles, the dossier brings an innovative format for academic publication: an interview by the special editor of the dossier, Raquel Scalcon, given to the professor of the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP) Marcio Cunha Filho, on understanding the Criminal Law based on Fundamental Rights.

The new edition also includes three works resulting from the continuous flow of submissions to the journal, which address innovations in public administration. The first one deals with a preliminary research report in a project developed within the scope of the Post-Graduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict). Another work brings the innovative context of mitigating the risks arising from the pandemic by the internal audit of the Chico Mendes Institute. There is also an article that presents a diagnosis about ageism in the Brazilian public service.

The 23rd edition of the journal also brings together two articles belonging to the Special Dossier "Governmental Control, Prevention and Combating Corruption", resulting from the research program, of the same name, promoted by the CGU Superintendence in the State of Minas Gerais in partnership with the School of the Attorney General's Office in Minas Gerais (EAGU / MG) and with the Minas Gerais Legislative Assembly School (ELE / ALMG). One of the works deals with the CGU Integrity Program, and the other, about the intrinsic motivations for the existence of whistleblowing.
