Administrative liability proceedings adjudicated by the Office of the Comptroller General: a quantitative analysis

The article aims at presenting the results of the survey conducted on administrative liability proceedings decided by the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU), from the enactment of Law No. 12,846/2013 (Anti-corruption Law) until August 31, 2023, based on proceedings whose documents are available in public sources. The work provides a general overview of the analyzed administrative liability proceedings, with the delineation of locations of the events and the outcomes of the proceedings. Additionally, there is a presentation of specific findings from proceedings in which the results have been classified as conviction, early judgment, or dismissal. Specific data includes the identification of applicable legislation for each specific case, the average duration of the analyzed processes, and sanctions imposed in case of conviction and early judgment.
